Born in Houston, Kristin Nichlaisen has been an award-winning competitive dancer since the age of six. She began her professional dancing, instructing, and choreographing career at eighteen, specializing in contemporary, jazz, and guided improv.

She has trained nationwide, danced with 'Masters of Dance', worked with multiple dance companies, and performed as a backup dancer. She also received extensive training both in LA and NY while attending Dance Teacher Summit five times.

Kristin worked as the company Director at Alisa's Dance Academy for ten years. She recently co-founded and co-owned Balance Dance Studios and Push Dance Company, working as the artistic director. Kristin strives to prove excellence in training and performance while empowering students of all ages to find and express their unique artistic voice through dance.
